Carlos Calderon

Carlos Calderón is the Senior Director, Legal Services at the South Texas College of Law Houston Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics, and he has served in this position since 2024. Prior to this role, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Harris County Public Defenders Office, and as a Staff Attorney at the STCLH Legal Clinics. 

Carlos is a native of Houston, Texas. He had the privilege of attending the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate degree, and he also graduated from Cornell University Law School. He has dedicated his legal career to public service, and in addition to his role as Senior Director, he also serves as a Clinical Adjunct at STCLH. 

He is an unabashed fan of the Great British Bake Off, Liverpool FC, and Medical- Legal Partnerships. In his free time, he enjoys the musical genius of Beyonce and Lady Gaga.
